We don't tax the rich. We tax the productive, the high income earners, the up and comers.
Bill Gates, Mark Cuban, Donald Trump and the Clintons and all the rest still get to keep their billions (and millions).
When we raise taxes we're slowing down and stopping the people who might actually replace these people at the top.
All these new millionaires tend to bring a lot of people with them.
When Bill Gates made his billions he made a few of his partners billionaires too but he also made hundreds of his employees millionaires.
Same thing with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
Raising taxes kills this process and hurts the economy and all of us.
That's how the political class deceives us.
They get you to believe that it doesn't hurt you if they raise taxes on business or the wealthy.
Business views taxes as an expense. They account for them by either raising prices, reducing wages, or closing their doors.
Which of these doesn't hurt the middle class and the poor?
Demonizing the rich may fool you into electing some politicians but in the end it hurts all of us.
What we really need is to stop taxing everyone so much.
Reduce taxes across the board.
Lowering taxes incentivizes people to be more productive, firing up the economy and helping everyone more than taxing.
Ironically it has a bad side effect. It ends generating more revenue for the government and then they spend even more of money.
So, right now the rich and middle class are paying more than their fair share.
The top 16% of income earners pay 79.4% of the taxes.
The top 2.7% pay 51.6%The part that's really interesting is who's included in the top brackets. The top 2.7% is anyone earning over 250,000. To get to 16% we have to include anyone making 100,000 per year.
