A thousand steps

The rights of the child.
If the courts were to ever overturn Roe v Wade. It wouldn't mean that abortions would become illegal.
It simply would means the power would revert back to the states.
So, the vast majority of states would still allow abortions in some form or another.
Maybe a few would actually ban them outright.
The majority of EU countries only allow abortions up to 12 weeks.
Unfortunately, we allow them up to 24 weeks.
The problem is that babies have survived as early as 22 weeks (not all but some).
Soon, 22 weeks will become routine and then 20, then 16 and 12.
We will soon develop artificial wombs which would allow all fetuses and embryos to live, to grow up. Which would actually be a blessing for many women who cannot have children.
If a child is able live outside the womb, then why should anyone be allowed to terminate that child.
This isn't about women's rights it's really about the rights of the child.
