You told John he needed to read more history books. Since, the topic is
your opinion of the "fairness doctrine" I wanted to know if you
actually knew of a history book that covers it or if you were simply
trying feign an unfounded intellectual superiority toward John?If
we implemented the fairness doctrine how would it work exactly? Would
we allow all points of view or would it only apply to leftists and
conservatives?
I think that conservatives would get an awful lot more are time on CNN and MSNBC. Or did you think it would only be on FNC?
But what about libertarians? The Green party? Would satanists get an equal voice when talking religious topics like Christmas?
The
real reason that the Reagan administration did away with the fairness
doctrine was because it proved to be unworkable. Too many voices were
being left out of the conversation.
